FREE - Switching Lead Posi-Tap Choice: I now give you a choice of Posi-Taps to suit different wire sizes. Alot of new bikes have very small wires. The BMW parking light wire definitely needs a PTA2024R it's so small. There is no charge for this option but of course you must be buying an Accessory Relay Kit above. See the Posi Products Page for info about Posi-Taps and their sizes. The Kits by default come with the larger PTA1416 which will fit most bikes but it's nice to have the right size for the switching wire you intend to use. Buy a few extra sizes at the above link and make sure you have one that fits just right.

You don't need to make this choice if you want the default PTA 1416.

CANbus Bikes - these Relay Kits can be used with a Fusebox as well as the stock fuseholder. Attaching directly to the battery or a fusebox ensures that you won't upset the CanBus electrical system. Please visit k-bikes.com for lots of good info about your bike.

Notes and Info:

BMW (Powerlet) Type Power Sockets: These sockets are very popular on bikes for powering accessories. They are smaller than a cigar socket, and come with a weatherproof cover. They make a very solid connection and are good up to 15 Amps. You can buy Powerlet Sockets here.

T-Connectors: Powerlet and BMW type sockets are best connected with a T-Connector, which is a plastic housing with two female spade terminals locked into it in a T formation. Connecting wires to a socket is very easy with this connector and I highly recommend using them. The type of terminals I use in the T-Connector make a solid connection that won't vibrate loose. You can buy T-Connectors separately here.

Rubber Boots: A rubber boot on the back of a Socket helps keep dirt and moisture out of your socket connections and makes for a longer life for your sockets. You can buy rubber socket boots here.

The Accessory Relay Kits are good for a maximum of 20A. If you'd like a heavier duty Kit with heavier wiring and a larger relay, please inquire. All sorts of variations on these Kits are possible.
