Whether you want to add dual horns, or a single horn to your bike, then these Relay Kits make it easy to do a first class installation.
These kits provide everything you need, fully assembled and ready to install on your bike. They use trigger wires that connect to your existing horn wires. Optionally, these trigger wires can also be connected directly to your horn button wires with a Posi-Lock and a Posi-Tap. See the Installation Pages for more information about installing these kits.
Positioning: The relay is very small and easy to mount under the gas tank of the bike. There is enough wire length to mount the relay near the front or rear of the gas tank. If you want to mount the relay close to the battery, or near the horns, then you should order a custom kit with the right lengths for your needs.
NEW! - The Fuse Panel Connect Option gives you a bit longer main leads instead of a fuseholder.
IMPORTANT: You can connect a Horn Kit through an auxiliary fuse panel only if you don't have a lot of high current stuff already connected. A high powered horn can draw close to 20 Amps and that could blow the main fuse on your fuse panel if you're already drawing more than 10 Amps. I suggest connecting a Horn Kit directly to the battery so your fuse panel retains its full capacity. Add up the Amps from your horn or horns if you are wondering if you should connect to your fuse panel. More than 10 Amps of horn(s) should go directly on the battery.
Dual Horn Relay Kit
The Fuse Panel Connect Option gives you longer main leads instead of a fuseholder.
Dual Horn Relay Kit $37.95
Notes about the Dual Horn Relay Kit:
Heavy Duty: - this Kit uses 2mm (14 AWG) wire to supply and ground two high power horns up to 25 Amps total.
Adjustable: Posi-Locks are used to split the power and grounds to the horns. These allow easily shortening the horn wire lengths to exact requirements for a custom fit.
Trigger Connectors: The Kit comes with male spade terminals attached to just plug into your existing horn wires and trigger your new horns. Make sure your horn system is in good condition and functioning. The Kit comes with extra shrink tubing to completely cover both the male and female spade connections.
Custom Kits: Please specify any custom requirements in the Checkout comment section. Or, first, for a custom kit with longer leads or a different configuration. Small changes are no extra charge.
ALL HORN KITS - Retaining the Stock Horn with A Horn Kit:
Posi-Tap Relay Trigger Connectors:- If you want to keep the stock horn functional, you can use a pair of Posi-Taps PTA1416 to replace the male spades on the relay trigger wires. Just cut the male spades off and install the Posi-Taps following the instructions on my Posi Install Page.
Posi-Taps will not damage your wires and you can easily remove them and reuse them later. Install the Posi-Taps onto your existing horn wires wherever convenient, then strip the wire end on the Trigger Wires and install them into the Posi-Taps and you're done.
Your stock horn will continue to work as normal and your new horn(s) will work from the Horn Relay Kit independently but triggered by your stock horn button.
Posi-Tap (PTA1416) $0.90 ea.
