WARRANTY TERMS

Generally:
12 month warranty on all Eastern Beaver manufactured products.
3 months warranty on all non Eastern Beaver products.
Introduction
Our aim is to provide quality products at the best price possible. We design and manufacture our own products like fuse boxes and wiring assemblies. For non Eastern Beaver manufactured products, we test for at least 6 months before stocking them. We do our best to only sell quality products.
General Warranty Terms
- Eastern Beaver Inc warrants our original products for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Proof of purchase is required. Our warranty applies to the original purchaser only.
- We will replace faulty products with a fully tested new unit, when a product fails and is under warranty.
- Retuned items must be appropriately packed, to ensure they are not further damaged in transit.
- The faulty unit must be returned to Eastern Beaver Inc prior to the replacement being shipped.
- Shipping to or from the Customer is not covered by warranty and is at the Customers expense.
- Eastern Beaver Inc warrants non Eastern Beaver Inc products for 3 months from the date of purchase.
- Where a returned faulty unit has been physically damaged, misused, incorrectly installed or had an attempted repair, warranty is voided.
- Where warranty is voided, we may, at our discretion, offer a replacement at a discount of 30%, provided the faulty unit has been returned.
- Shipping on replacement units is excluded and at the Customers costs.
- Return Request – before sending a unit back to Eastern Beaver Inc, please request a Return Authorization from us at jim1@easternbeaver.com so we are aware of the situation and can plan to react in a timely manner.
- Non warranty returns – can be repaired at our fixed rate of US$50 per hour plus parts at cost plus 15%.
- Hazardous environments – whilst many of our products are waterproof we do not accept responsibility for damage caused by hazardous environments. exposure to sea water, exposure to hazardous gasses or liquids for example, are not covered by warranty.
- Where an items has been exposed to a hazardous environment, you must notify us so we can ensure safe handling of the product.
- Limit of Liability – we limit our liability to the original purchase price of the failed unit or replacement of the failed unit. We do not accept responsibility for consequential or related damages or losses.
- Governing Law – this warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- Where the terms of this warranty are expanded by the laws of the location the item was sold into, said expansions are recognized and construed as part of this warranty.
Rectifier Warranties
- Rectifiers installed as OEM replacements in OEM locations ( on the motorcycle ) are warranted for 90 days from purchase, from Eastern Beaver. VIN number and pictures of the installation will be require for Warranty claims.
- Rectifiers installed in non OEM locations or where the rectifier is was not supplied as OEM on the motorcycle ( such as where upgrading the rectifier to a better quality or spec ) are warranted for 30 day from shipping from Eastern Beaver, provided original Furukawa QLW connectors are used AND the mount position and style is as per Above INSTALLATION notes.
- Warranty on Shingengen rectifiers is limited to a replacement rectifier of the same type, and only once, within the warranty period. There are situations where a failed battery ( internal short on one ore more cells ) or other wiring issue ( intermittent connection etc ) can cause short circuits on the rectifier output, leading to failure. Such problems are not covered by warranty.
- Shipping costs are not covered by warranty. Either to the customer or returns from the customer are at the customers cost.
- Liability on rectifier sales, is limited to the original purchase price.
- When a rectifier failure occurs, Eastern Beaver will request;
Clear picture of the installation location.
Clear pictures of the QLW connectors.
Clear pictures of the wiring.
Motorcycle VIN number, Make, Model, Year. - Warranty is cancelled where there is physical damage to the returned rectifier. This is often the case when non original QLW connectors are used, as they are difficult to connect to the rectifier and even more difficult to remove. Installers often use a screw driver to pry them off, damaging the rectifier.
- We can ship advance replacement, where the buyer pays the replacement rectifier cost in advance, which is then refunded, once the fault & warranty status is confirmed, that is once we receive the faulty rectifier and confirm warranty status and reported fault. Alternatively, the faulty rectifier can be shipped back to Eastern Beaver at the buyers cost. Once the fault and warrrnty status are confirmed, a replacement rectifier of the same type will be shipped out.
- Where a rectifier is returned & the fault is not confirmed at Eastern Beaver, the warranty claim is rejected. We will return the rectifier to the customer at the customer cost.
Lastly, our warranty terms on rectifiers are determine by the terms we can get from our supplier.
