NOTE ON SAE CABLES

SAE 2 pin cables are essentially an adaptation of the SAE J1239 standard. They are rated to 20A max with a recommended constant current of 7.5A or less. Be careful of polarity. SAE cables are available with the exposed terminal as positive or negative. Since there is no direct standard, for these cables, there are many variations. Be careful that the SAE products you use, all connect fully
We recommend adhering to these basic rules:
For battery direct connections, make sure the positive is the insulated terminal.
Before making a connection with a new cable or device, follow the positive circtuit from source to device and ensure the polarity is not swapped.
For SAE cables attached to Fuse Boxes, like batteries, ensure the positive terminal is insulated.
Gender changers are available that will swap the positive and negative’s to correct any polarity issues.
