Description

Triumph Sprint 1050 rectifier adapter cables. This cable set allows you to connect a more
efficient FH020AA ( Shunt type ) or SH847 ( Series ) type rectifier. An adapter bracket will
be required ( sold separately ), as will a rectifier. We only recommend original Shindengen
rectifier, which we sell on this site.

The cables are hand assembled from 100% copper wire with high temperature insulation
from Yazaki. The protective tubing is from Sumitomo. The connector are original Furukawa
and Sumitomo, ie quality connectors made in Japan. These cables are 100% tested prior
to shipping to ensure long life and quality connections.

The main reasons for upgrading the rectifier are, if your old unit fails or you want a more
reliable and efficient rectifier. The FH020AA is a mosfet rectifier rated at 50A. The design
is of the Shunt type, that is like the original rectifier it shorts any unneeded current to ground.
However, as the mosfets are more efficient than the old rectifier, it generally runs a little cooler.

The SH847 rectifier is a series type, so rather than “shunt” unneeded current to ground, it opens
its input so the stator has no load, when current is not needed. This is the best type rectifier for
prolonging the life of your stator ( and rectifier ) because it is a smarter design putting less load
on the stator, engine and rectifier.
