Triumph Daytona 675 Rectifier Bracket -[Version 1 FH020AA]

Relocates your rectifier, from behind the engine to under the tail section for better cooling. Rectifier to battery cable change to direct connection is best. OEM DC rectifier cable is a little short. AC side length is fine, just reroute. OEM rear sets can be used.

Bolts included. Stock is M8x35mm. Included is 2 x x M8x40mm stainless.

Price range: $27.95 through $216.90
Daytona675 Rectifier Ver2 2 600

Triumph Daytona 675 Rectifier Bracket -[Version 2 SH847]

RECTIFIER TYPES

There are a few different types of rectifier, but here i will discuss the 2 main types.

SHUNT: This type is standard on most bikes, because it is cheapest to make. It takes 100% of the stator power and gives the bike what it needs, and short the un-needed current to ground. So your stator and engine, always see a 100% load from the rectifier and the rectifier runs hot ( always working at 100% ).
SERIES: This type is less common on bikes ( was used on some models ). It disconnects its input when power is not needed by the bike. So as power is needed it turns on and if power is no needed it turns off ( this happens very fast and usually at three times the rpm speed ). Effectively it acts more like a tap. So if you bike needs less power, then the rectifier put less load on the stator and engine. The SERIES rectifier is also more efficient than SHUNT types. Typically 0.1 to 0.3 volts higher will be output for a given load and input AC voltage. Generally stators will last longer with SERIES type rectifiers as it casuses the stator to heat up less.
