Description

This is the wiring kit for a PC-8R without the PC-8R fuse box. It is for customers who already have a PC-8R such as when moving from your previous bike to a Honda CRF1000L. As the PC-8R is designed to be super reliable, many customers move it to their new bike, before they sell their old bike. This reduces cost in accessorizing the new bike.

There are quite a few options on this kit as follows;
Length –  standard mounts under the riders seat. Long mounts under the pillion seat.
Connection – standard is M6 ring terminals to the battery. Optionally, the PowerLink upgrade can be selected which provides a high power connection point to the battery for connecting jump leads ( available separately ).
Size –  the kit is available as a 30A or 40A kit. The fuse box is the same, the wiring loom that connects to the fuse box is upgraded on the 40A kit. The 30A kit is fine for most riders, but for heavy accessory users, we recommend the 40A kit.

This Kit is custom made for the new Africa Twin and is plug and play. Please Note – all CRF1000 PC-8R Kits now use the 6P connector found at far rear left under passenger seat. If your bike has a factory alarm system (or anything else plugged into this connector) you will also need the Rear Accessory Splitter with this Kit.

To install this Kit you need to remove the left side tank side trim, and pull the battery out half way. Wires are easy to route to the battery and when you’re finished, everything will look built into the bike. You should be able to locate the PC-8R just about anywhere under the seat. Install the main fuses after complete installation.
