Acti-Lo High Beam Active Low to Active High Converter
Price range: $16.95 through $18.95
Description
Acti-Lo High Beam Active Low to Active High Converter, is a small device to convert Active Lo ( 0v ) high beam signals to
Active High ( 12v ) outputs. The unit uses a mosfet inverter circuit, so is solid state. Rated at 2A continuous
it is designed to power relays or switched inputs only. It is not designed to directly power accessory lights.
Some modern motorcycles with LED type headlights don’t use the traditional 12v switching signal. Instead they
switch the ground connection. This allows the designers to use more efficient mosfet switching in the control
module. However, what it means is that the headlight has 12v connected all the time, and to turn high beam on,
a low ( 0v ) signal is applied to the high beam circuit.
This unit also works on bikes like the active low horns such as later model FJR1300’s
Works on:
- Honda XL750 2025 and later
- Africa Twin 2020 and later
- Yamaha Super Tenere 2019 and later
- Any motorcycle that uses a low signal to activate a light.
- Any motorcycle that uses a low signal for the horn.
This unit, operates the same as some relay devices, in inverting the high beam signal, when it is activated by a low ( 0v ).
There are three wires as follows;
Red= Switched Power In             Connect to a source of switched power
Blue= Trigger In ( Active Low ie 0v )Â Â Connect to your motorcycle high beam signal lead.
Yellow= Trigger Out ( 12v )Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Connect as a high beam trigger source to your accessory lights.
This unit does not need a ground connection.
We do offer kits with this unit included for bikes like the XL750 or Africa Twin. In such kits we may use this device or
a SPDT relay, depending on when the kit was designed.
